* All your points are important yes, but my context (the episode) was about human side of stuff. Democracy already has some elements of it eg each citizen can vote, candidates can present arguments, can mold information to their benefits etc.
True De-centralized governance is even more open, thus even more subject to manipulation (anonymity works both sides), by design there is no enforcer,

 so candidates with more resources can have advantage
