China has an 8 core x86 design with SSE4 and AVX support that is apparently on par with a Core i7 7000 series CPU. Although they didn't say if that was before or after Intel had all those security holes that slowed their CPUs down by 50% with patches (that I backed out of Linux) after you bought them. Trump sanctioning Chinese companies and then trying to cram American Imaginary Property laws down their throat is as much about keeping backdoors in China's computers, including uEFI, Intel, and Microsoft, as it is anything else. But all Trump has really done is caused a new market for Linux and Chinese processors that can't be spied on by the NSA backdoors.
