I'm kind of wondering if I should file an anti-trust complaint against the optometrists in the state or if I should just let it go. Pushing for a new law that requires them to give you a PD on your prescription might just cause them to raise FUD about "the dangers of people sending their specs to some eyeglass website". They already try very hard to do that. They were claiming at one point that 28% of all online eyeglass orders had a lens with an incorrect prescription. However, I've had several pairs from online and when they ran them in their little machine thingy at the eye doctor, none of them were incorrect. Nuisance. (Refuse to give a complete prescription.) Scare people. (28% and won't tell us where they found those glasses at because they can't actually back that up.) Bribe the legislature into outlawing the competitor. "For safety!" Then sell the public $700 eyeglasses again after the competition has been disposed of somehow.
