And in userspace you can at least take measures.
As is the case my router simply crashes at some point, in userspace the limits are usually memory or cpu which can be handled accordingly by the software making the connections.

But I'm getting off-topic, is there a way to change *go-ipfs*' behaviour in that regard (using swarm filters or similar)?
And if not, would I file an issue with *go-ipfs* or is this within boundaries of other projects like *libp2p*?
