Microsoft’s Response
Following responsible disclosure policies, the Nyotron Security Research Team
contacted the Microsoft Security Response Center on February 21, 2018 and
received the following response on March 9, 2018:
“We have determined the report does not meet the bar for servicing
downlevel. The issue has been flagged for vNext consideration.
The feature in question is intended to hinder malware and be part of a
defense-in-depth stance.
We appreciate your report and hope you continue to submit reports.”
