hyc: The point that started whole this thread was about taking a stance and banning some mastodon instances (example, Gab?) from being able to federate with the hypothetical Monero instance server of Mastodon. It wasn't about contributing to the code. It wasn't about asking questions about race or whatever. It was simply me asking a question about why would Monero instance of Mastodon/Pleroma ban Gab or not-overtly-mainstream-thinking instances of Mastodon/Pleroma. I am not trying to muddy the waters nor I am trying to troll you guys. Further, "if people need to read a code of conduct before deciding how they're going to behave, they don't belong here." Well, you've got to admit that definitions of being polite and constructive online has recently gotten quite specialized and squeezed to different definitions. Therefore I thought if one is going to be upholden to these CoC, it's good that he/she should read and update his/her own understanding of politeness/welcomingness/positiveness, etc. in light of what's written in CoC. I think we are talking about this CoC: https://www.communityworkgroup.org/monero-community-workgroup-code-of-conduct
