Inge-: fiat<->monero atomic swaps would be quite could indeed. When a country decide to move their currency to a blockchain then this could be possible. I imagine only licenced financial business would be able to access such blockchain so it won't end up in the end of individuals :) Regarding BTC<->XMR, IMHO, the strongest argument is access to Monero. I was able to mine some when GPU where efficient but now I'd need to buy. As I am in Aus I don't have much choices: Either 1. LocalMonero, 2. Bisq or 3. foreign exchange. In the case of localmonero, I still have to trust localmonero that they do release the escrowed monero and trust the other party to not mess around too much. In case of Bisq, pretty much the same but I do have to exchange to BTC first, can't use my A$. Foreign exchange, same, need to exchange to BTC or another crypto I can buy in Aus, move it, then buy Monero with it. Atomic swaps could save some steps/trust issues. Do you think there would be a more attractive pair than BTC<->XMR? (apart from fiat<->XMR of course 🙂 )
