P&G is threatening price hikes in September.
None of these brand name price hikes seem to have affected Walmart's store brands yet.
I think it's just profit taking. If they were actually necessary in order to continue operating, Walmart would be going along with it to maintain the same relative spread.
Baby supplies has been a bad business to be in for years because few people have babies anymore and companies have been complaining about it for what seems like forever.
So why not jack up prices on people who still do?
You have to show investors that there's growth or the whole thing falls apart.
