After reading this "rant" and the many walk-throughs with users here who did or could not follow the instructions on the website (not using powershell, not using up-to-date fastboot, using OS-specific signify etc), just an idea to maybe discuss: Would it make sense to provide a (signed) live-boot installer? (I.e. live-bootable OS and included install script.) With the limited number of devices (i.e. not many different cases to be considered in the script) and the fixed sequence of steps necessary to install, this could in the end mean even less effort in updating the install description and guiding new users. Live-booting would ensure that there is just this one install-environment, all the user would have to do is dd the installer to USB or burn to CD and boot. And provide the OEM-unlocked phone, of course ... The installer could download the necessary and most up-to-date files, check and prepare them and then do the actual installation steps with user-confirmation where needed. Is there any mistake in my line of thought? (I am not a dev and not even yet a Graphene user, so please forgive me if I have overlooked something glaringly obvious ... )
