This is an actual issue which neither you nor the industry is going to change anytime soon.
I was asking for a nice little feature or a workaround which doesn't involve rudely intercepting and terminating connections the software makes.
If there is no such feature then I will file a feature request, however noone could yet give me a conclusive answer to my question:
