I have to prioritize to get around Comcrap's data cap. They want people to give up and pay more for faster speed and unlimited data. I just prioritize bits to download, skip optional bits that I'm not interested in, and look for videos in HEVC. To do what the rep suggested on the phone was going to add $90 a month to my bill. I don't even know how it's legal for them to extort Netflix for money (which amounts to a tariff on Netflix that everyone pays, not just Comcast customers) to co-locate their data servers so that Comcast will take their foot off the hose and doesn't have to go out to their own ISP (so now they're charging Netflix for something that also saves Comcast money), and then they turn around and still count it towards your metered data for the month. They also count subscriptions to things that Comcast owns that they sell you the subscription for as part of your metered data.
