I know I have been one of the firsts that said we needed to decentralize funding. Funding is hard, and to be honest is meant to be hard, it should be hard. I could say here I will take Monero to the moon, but how the hell I'm I going to take it to the moon? I know we that have been funded have struggled a lot, but I could say it's worth it. How else could sarang, erciccione, rehrar, moneromooo, etc (please forgive me if I missed you) ever be really funded if they don't really show work? What I personally think is that the pressure might be reduced, somehow, not sure how, but reduced. Like I have said some other time, no one should be tied to where to put their money too (we shouldn't be those who decide where people should put their money), but we should care of what's being added to the code. I once suggested two type of funding, one dedicated to the Monero code, where these types of discussions will keep on happening and those who want to add anything to the code will have to discuss in debth what their going to do, and the other one I suggested a more opened to anyone who wants to work on behalf for an exchange for XMR (similar to the just created monerojobs site).
