fnstudio: Here are some ideas what you can do if a package is not in the main repo:
- wait until someone added the package to the repo
- add the package yourself to the main repo (or your own repo)
- add another repo that has the package (if available)
- add another package manager to the system that has the package (like flatpak, nix, pip, npm or even docker)
- install guix on a foreign distro that has the package
- create a container or virtual machine with another distro that you can install the package to
