The lab is to be setup with the following motives - Making Respect Your Freedom/RYF devices by hacking existing hardware and removing non-free firmware included - Create/Hack PC's and laptops - replacing proprietary BIOS/UEFI with Coreboot/Libreboot - remove non-free firmwares in ethernet/wifi/audio/video cards, replace with hardware having free firmware - Sale of Refurbished Laptops/PC's having non-free firmware replaced with free firmware and PureOS/gnewSense/Trisquel/Parabola/dynebolic preinstalled - Sale of Refurbished smartphones / tablets with Replicant OS/Lineage OS - Contributing back to h-node.org with test results of tested hardware devices. In addition to this a software/web application for the following purpose is intended to be deployed on Heroku. - Shopping cart application with a Mobile Frontend for sale of RYF devices As a start, sale of devices from existing RYF sellers like Technoethical, MiniFree and Purism The service of FOSS ethusiasts who are students, employees, businessmen and hobbyists can be utilized for the purpose by providing internships/employment in a part-time of full-time basis.
