cipres: good question, I'm not sure what exactly the 0.4.23-0.5.0 change there was. I think the timeout was there, but maybe the error wasn't getting propagated properly, idk. probably worth checking on though.

Either way though, the timeouts made more sense in the older DHT because the put logic just kept on going and going. Now it doesn't really make sense

oh well... I figured. We currently put to both routers and wait for them both to finish which means pubsub being faster won't help you out here. You can download+build master and see if that helps you out for now though
