I never used a Mac, because they're basically useless, but the way I understand it, the Internet Exploder code from Windows wasn't carried over and Microsoft actually did develop a much more standards compliant renderer for the Mac, and the Project Lead from IE for Mac ended up at Mozilla later. Having a lot of people working on a project isn't necessarily a great thing. It depends on if they're even the right people at all. And people in large groups end up being less efficient individually. If we take Microsoft at their word, things like the IE Box Model Bug was a mistake that came about from a division with 1,000 people that got $100 million a year in the 90s.
