Subject: Congressional Medal of Honor for John O'Neill Dear Senator Durbin, FBI Special Agent John P. O'Neill, who George W. Bush fired for trying to warn about the terrorists planning 9/11, got a job working security in the World Trade Center. Leading up to 9/11, Condoleeza Rice told O'Neill that "Nobody in [the Bush Administration] is worried about terrorists.". He didn't run away. He perished on September 11th while getting people out of the building. He didn't run and try to save himself. He went back up the stairs. He deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor. Congress can award one posthumously to the family. I can't believe that they never did and that no president awarded him the Medal of Freedom. Both are considered the highest honor that the country can award to a civilian for an outstanding act of heroism. Trump gives Medals of Freedom to people like the guy who ran a concentration camp in Arizona where immigrants died. If they're giving them to human trash like Sheldon Adelson and Joe Arpaio, then something needs to change. Congress needs to pass a bill voiding some of the Medals that went out to people who committed terrible crimes against our nation and humanity, such as Arpaio, and giving one to John O'Neill instead. O'Neill was a true hero and example of courage in the face of the previous failed presidential administration, and what was formerly (before Donald Trump's new disaster) one of our darkest hours on the American mainland.
