On the source server (NixOS) I'm doing 'nix-build' then
nix-copy-closure --to dylan@nook $(nix-store -qR /nix/store/rlkfiwqgh61nvf8caiv377cp9mqqs3m6-crank-0.1.0.0)

Then on the target machine I'm doing:
nix-env -qa -f default.nix crank
