Hi all, I was surfing the Web for an idea I have and found IndieWeb. Nice you linked Matrix/Riot, I love it. My idea is trying to revamp aggregators (sites that gather RSS/Atom feeds like KDE Planet, GNOME Planet etc). I like the decentralized nature of aggregators but a social layer is missing. In fact what people likes of Facebook & Co is having notifications from one source when commenting posts. A solution for blogs is offered by Disqus but it's proprietary. And alternatives like Isso don't unify the notifications/accounts. My idea is using Diaspora: I'm looking for a way to build aggregators (maybe based on WordPress) that as comments use the Diaspora ones. So one just need to register to Diaspora to comments on the posts of various aggregators. Let's name it "a social layer to RSS/Atom". Any thoughts?
