Projects are required to opt-in every cycle to keep a project under extended maintenance. If a project doesn’t opt-in the EM branch is automatically closed.
Projects are required to keep the CI green for each branch through a periodic weekly check.
This allows to keep the name “extended maintenance”, but thus provides stronger guarantees of maintainership.
This proposal basically removes extended maintenance for all the projects except the ones who really want to keep supporting a release.
