Sorry to clarify, on both devices I have serial port permissions set correctly. 

On the pie one, I seem to have the gnss service starting correctly. 

On both, they just hang - when either the service or library is started, both print the module firmware version to logcat. This seems to confirm the library or service is communicating with the module over serial.

Nothing else is printed to logcat.
